Brent is a pastor, global servant-leader, and transformational church builder whose life has been forged through extraordinary extremes. Raised as one of seven children in a small Maine border town, he developed an early foundation in resilience, community, and faith that would carry him across three continents and 27 countries. After a decade of missionary work in Burkina Faso, West Africa, one of the world's poorest nations, Brent returned to the United States and assumed leadership of a struggling Stonecrest Community Church, where a congregation of just 75 people was in danger of fading into irrelevance. Over the next two-plus decades, through steadfast vision, spiritual depth, and an unwavering belief that God's blessing follows wherever Christ's name is lifted up, Brent grew Stonecrest to nearly 1,000 members, a transformational turnaround that stands as a testament to purpose-driven leadership. His journey has led him to The Fish Foundation as the Executive Director and The Fish Universe as VP of Mission and Church relations.
Founder of The Fish Foundations, bringing nearly three decades of diverse experience in entertainment and hospitality to his mission-driven work. His career began in his family's Construction, fire alarm installation business before taking him to Los Angeles, where he studied acting under renowned mentors including Gloria Gifford, Jeffrey Tambor, and the late Milton Katsellas. A foundation in the performing arts taught him the importance of understanding the human spirit and connecting with others on a deeper level. He then transitioned into the corporate hospitality world, spending 28 years with major companies like Dave & Busters, Drive Shack, and Darden, where he specialized in opening new locations, building high-performing teams, and creating cultures of excellence.
Driven by a calling to serve a higher purpose, Charles now channels his extensive background in entertainment and operations toward bringing kids closer to Christ as well as combating homelessness and poverty through innovative approaches. He is building an adventure park that serves as both a beacon of hope and a sustainable funding mechanism for charitable programs, while also bringing children closer to faith. Happily married to his wife Elizabeth with two sons, Charles views his unconventional journey, from family business to Hollywood stages to corporate boardrooms, as divine preparation for his current mission. His vision combines profit with purpose, creating a space where fun and meaningful impact coexist, demonstrating that entertainment venues can be powerful vehicles for positive social change.
